Your account, security and notifications
This guide is for a support worker. Use web Settings or the native app's Settings tab. Available controls depend on your account and phone.
Business and subscription
Business details shows the saved profile and can offer an ABN register recheck. Editing the saved business profile on the web is unavailable. See Set up your business.
Subscription shows your actual state, dates and the plan offered. Choose a plan on the web if available. Cancellation inside ThimbleCare is still unavailable; the cancellation page explains that it leaves the subscription unchanged.
Security
On the web, open Settings, then Security.
- Password: enter the current password and the same new password twice, then Change password. Follow any required authenticator or recovery-code check. If the service directs you to email recovery, use Forgot your password.
- Authenticator app: check the status and follow setup, challenge and recovery-code prompts when offered. Do not assume it is disabled. Save recovery codes safely before confirming that you have saved them.
- Sign out everywhere: ends sessions across devices when confirmed. It includes this device.
If a message says the password changed but ending other sessions was not confirmed, sign out and sign in with the new password as instructed. Do not treat this as an unchanged password.
On supported native builds, App unlock can use device authentication. Follow the prompts and availability shown. Device lists and sign-in history may be unavailable. Never give another person your password or sign-in code.
Optional tips and offers
Web and native signup have separate email and text choices for setup tips, trial updates and plan offers. Both start off. Providing a required phone number does not opt you in. These choices are separate from sign-in emails and record notifications. Existing users are not automatically enrolled by the new signup forms.
To review or change them on the web:
- Open Settings, then Email and text preferences, or open Email and text preferences.
- Sign in to your own account if asked. Wait for your saved choices to load.
- Check Phone number. It is optional on this preferences page unless you choose text updates. Use an Australian number or include your country code.
- Select or clear the email and text checkboxes under Optional updates.
- Select Save my choices and wait for Your message choices are saved.
These choices belong to the signed-in account. They do not change a participant's or helper's preferences. If loading or saving is not confirmed, reload the preferences and check the saved state before trying again. In the native app, open Settings or Help, then Email and text preferences. It opens this page in your browser. Sign in there to read and save the choices for that account; opening the page does not change them.
To stop optional updates from a message, open its full private unsubscribe link. Opening the page does not turn anything off. Select Turn off these updates and wait for Your updates are turned off. You do not need to sign in for that private link. It changes only the email or text channel the link was sent with; use your signed-in preferences to review both channels. If the link cannot be checked, reopen it from the message or use the preferences page.
App notifications
On the web, Notifications lets you change the listed phone notice choices. Select Save changes. Use the defaults restores the default choices.
The Quiet hours section has its own controls:
- Select Load current quiet hours.
- Check the saved state and time zone.
- Select Turn quiet hours on or Turn quiet hours off, then check confirmation.
Quiet hours pause push messages from 10 pm to 7 am in the saved time zone. A browser without a supported time zone cannot turn them on. Phone notifications also need phone permission; changing app preferences does not guarantee delivery.
Accessibility
Web Accessibility offers text size, high contrast and reduced motion. Changes apply straight away in that browser. Native settings offer their available accessibility and appearance controls; use your device settings too.
Activity and account closure
Your activity shows recorded events when available. An event record identifies what happened; it is not permission to act for a participant.
To close the worker account, download any needed documents first. Open Close account, read the information, then Continue to confirm. Only submit the requested confirmation if you intend to close it. Check Closure requested. A full account download is still unavailable.
