Web or phone, and signing in

This guide is for a support worker. Workers use an email and password. Participants, nominees and supporters use their own emailed sign-in code; see Signing in with a code.

Choose where to work

Work with plans and participant documentsWrite and sign shift notes
Issue invoices and record paymentsDaily review and weekly timesheets

Settings and tax recordsPhone settings and day-to-day records

Shift notes, support selection, daily review and participant approval requests are available on both platforms. On the web, open Shifts, Daily review and Timesheets in the worker menu.

After web setup, Where to next. offers Continue on the web. If you already have the phone app, sign in with the same worker email and password. This page does not send an app-download text message.

On the web, open worker Sign in, enter Email address and Password, then select Sign in. The app checks your account and sends you to the appropriate next step. An unfinished account may return to setup rather than Home.

On the native app, tap Sign in, then Use email and password. Enter your worker details and tap Sign in.

If an authenticator check or setup is required, follow it. Do not assume authenticator checks are switched off. Keep recovery codes somewhere safe, away from the device used to sign in.

Forgot your password

  1. On web Sign in, select Forgot your password?.
  2. Enter your email and select Send instructions.
  3. The response does not reveal whether the address has an account. Check your inbox and junk folder.
  4. Open the newest reset email in the browser used to request it.
  5. Enter the same new password twice on Choose a new password, then select Update password.

The native sign-in screen directs password recovery to the web. When signed in, the web also has a password-change form under Settings, then Security. See Your account.

Sign out and app unlock

On the web, use Sign out in the menu. Settings, then Security, has Sign out everywhere.

The native app can offer App unlock in Settings, then Security, on supported phones. Follow the password and device-authentication prompts shown. Availability depends on the installed build and phone. Do not assume closing an app signs out every device.

If something goes wrong

  • The email or password was not accepted. Check the address, password and caps lock.
  • Too many attempts. Wait, then retry as the screen asks.
  • A reset link does not work. Request a fresh email and use the same browser, or contact Getting help.
  • An authenticator or session check is required. Complete that check before continuing.
