Checking and approving a timesheet
This guide is for a participant. A weekly timesheet shows the support given and what it costs. Check the shifts before signing. Your worker's daily approval is recorded under their name; it is not your signature. Silence does not approve your timesheet.
Before you start, sign in with your own email code. Have your diary or notes nearby if they help you check the shifts.
On the web
- Open the timesheet from What needs me or My timesheets.
- Select Check it and read Check the timesheet.
- Open each shift to check its date, times, support, cost and the worker's note. Return to the timesheet.
- Select the tick beside every shift that looks right. A tick marks your check; it does not sign the timesheet.
- Select Approve this timesheet when all shifts are checked and no dispute blocks it.
- On Sign, read the shifts and total being approved.
- Type your full legal name as recorded in your account, then select Sign and approve.
- Wait for Done. Thank you. Check the signer and date in See the approved timesheet.
Only a role with the required authority can approve. A supporter can help within their scope, but cannot replace the required participant or authorised nominee sign-off.
On the native phone app
Open the item from Home or To approve. Read every shift and the budget information shown. Use Yes, approve, read the confirmation, then follow the Approve and sign and signature prompts. The app confirms the recorded signer and outcome. Do not count a pending request as approved.
If a shift is not right
- Select Something is not right and choose the shift.
- Choose the reason: not present, wrong hours, wrong support type, or something else.
- Add the explanation the form asks for. Something else requires words explaining the concern.
- Type your own full name when asked and send using the control shown.
- Check the confirmation and My disputes.
A separate line objection applies to eligible quick-review lines. For a shift approved individually in worker daily review, the pre-signing form can offer Send back the whole timesheet. Read that explanation: the whole timesheet waits for review. An open dispute pauses approval.
If the action is unavailable, refused or unconfirmed, do not sign just to dismiss it. Contact the worker directly and explain the problem.
After approval
Your worker can make an invoice from a confirmed approved timesheet. My approvals lists previous approvals.
If you later notice an error, open the record and use the concern or reversal control offered. Some worker approvals have a 24-hour concern window. Outside an available path, ask the worker to correct the record or invoice; do not assume your signature can be erased.
On the native app, Undo this approval is only offered when permitted. Read its reason and confirmation steps. Flag this timesheet is different: flagging requests review and leaves the timesheet approved. Check which action the screen offers and its confirmed result.
If something goes wrong
A missing budget preview does not automatically prevent checking the timesheet, but it does not confirm enough funding. If a signature or dispute result is uncertain, reopen the record before sending again.
