Privacy and security
This guide is for a participant. You use your own account to review paperwork and make the choices allowed to you. A worker, supporter or nominee has a different role and should not borrow your sign-in.
Profile details
On the web, open Settings, then My details. You can add a missing NDIS number and Date of birth. A permitted plan nominee can also complete missing values. Enter the 9-digit number from your plan, check both values carefully and select Save my details.
Check Your details are saved. Saved values cannot be edited there; support must help correct them. Changing your display name is still unavailable on this page. These details may be required before signing an agreement.
Optional tips and offers
On the web, open Settings, then Email and text preferences, or use Email and text preferences. These choices belong to your own signed-in account. A helper uses their own login to choose their own messages. In the native app, open Settings or Help and support, then Email and text preferences. It opens the same page in your browser; sign in there to review and save your choices. Opening the page changes nothing.
- Wait for your saved choices to load.
- Check the optional Phone number. A number is required here only if you choose text updates.
- Choose whether to receive Email me setup tips, trial updates and plan offers or Text me setup tips, trial updates and plan offers.
- Select Save my choices.
- Check Your message choices are saved. If the change is not confirmed, reload and check the saved state before trying again.
These optional choices are separate from sign-in codes and the record notifications below. A participant does not need a worker trial or paid plan. Existing users are not automatically opted in by the new worker signup form.
A full private unsubscribe link in a message opens Turn off optional updates. Opening it alone changes nothing. Select Turn off these updates and wait for Your updates are turned off. You do not need to sign in for that private link, and it turns off only the channel it was sent with. To check both email and text choices, use your signed-in preferences.
Your app messages
Open web Settings, then Notifications.
- Find the update and channel you want to change.
- Choose Off, Default or On.
- Wait for Your message choice is saved. Each choice saves straight away.
Default uses the app's usual delivery for that update. These choices belong to your own login and do not change what your worker or helper receives. Phone notices also need device permission, so selecting On does not guarantee delivery. If the change was not confirmed, use Refresh choices before trying again.
The native participant app has its own notification and accessibility settings. Follow its available controls. A supporter or nominee's scoped access is not permission to change your personal message choices.
Who can see records
Access depends on role, service relationship, file scope and permissions. Your worker sees support records they are allowed to access. Private participant incident logs are not shared with the worker unless you choose that option. A supporter's scope limits their access; see Adding a supporter or nominee.
Read Privacy and The companies we use in Settings for the published information. The collection notice explains that the main database and files are in Sydney and some website, email and provider handling occurs overseas. Do not assume every provider handles information only in Australia.
Activity, permissions and sign-out
My shifts, then Who did what, shows recorded activity when available. Use Load older events if offered. It records the actor and action; it does not give someone authority to act for you.
The web My permissions itemised ledger is currently unavailable. Manage a supporter or decision supporter through its own working settings page instead.
Settings, then Security, offers Sign out everywhere when available. Check the result. Device lists and sign-in history are unavailable there. Keep your email account secure because your codes arrive there, and never give a code to another person.
Accessibility and copies
The web follows your device or browser text-size and reduced-motion settings. Easy Read is unavailable on that settings page. Native settings also offer their available shared accessibility choices.
The full account export is unavailable. Download needed documents and invoice PDFs one by one before closing your account.
Close your account
Only the participant can request closure of their account. Open Settings, then Close my account, read what stays, and enter the requested confirmation only if you intend to continue. Check the result. Closure does not immediately erase every support or business record; read the published retention information or ask support what must stay.
For a wrong saved detail, suspicious access or an unconfirmed action, use Getting help.
