ThimbleCare help

Your first week with ThimbleCare

You use ThimbleCare to see your support records and make your own choices. You do not need an ABN, worker trial or paid worker subscription.

1. Check and accept your invitation

Check that the invitation came from the worker you expect. Read Accepting an invitation, the terms and the collection notice. Accept only if you want to use the app. A parent, guardian or nominee must have appropriate authority to act for you.

2. Sign in and find your next action

Use your emailed sign-in code. Read Your home screen to find work waiting for your review, your support schedule and settings. Keep the code private.

3. Read the service agreement

Follow Reviewing and signing an agreement. Check the worker, supports, rates, dates, cancellation terms and payment arrangement. Ask about anything you do not understand before signing. Accepting an invitation did not sign this agreement.

4. Check your first timesheet

Read each shift, its times and amount. Use the timesheet guide or practise with the sample timesheet. Approve only if it is accurate. If something is wrong, use the correction path.

5. Make the account work for you

Check your budget, choose message preferences, and decide whether a supporter or nominee should help. Use your phone's text-size and accessibility options too.

Try the budget practice and video and supporter practice and video before making those choices in your own account.

When you need something later

See shifts and requests, read invoices, get documents or request your records. If you are a teen participant, read Using your own account. Getting help explains who to contact.
